CORECTION ABOUT MY "Mark Your Calendar!" POST ON MONDAY NOVEMBER 13 !!!
On that post I said "Saturday, December 16, 2023," when a 'Star In The Making' named Nysos is expected to "Put On A Show!".
Well, I was wrong about the date.
As it turns out it's on Sunday November 19, 2023 -- this weekend!
Surprise! Surprise!
I didn't think trainer Bob Baffert would bring him to the race that quickly given he had just race on October 21, 2023.
Anyhow, it's here now and that 'Star In The Making' is Nysos is going to put on a show for us this weekend!
Date: Sunday November 19, 2023
Track: Delmar
Race: 8
Horse: Nysos
Bet Nysos to win this weekend!
Put a lot of money to win on Nysos to make it worthwhile and justified going to the track this Sunday.
This is like free money 1/9.
He will win like a workout manner.
The 'Star In The Making' Nysos is a 2yo bay colt by Nyquist – Zetta, by Bernardini, trained by Bob Baffert.
Nysos won his career debut by 10 1/2 lengths on October 21, 2023, 9th race, MdSpWt61k, at Santa Anita, earning a whopping Beyer Speed Figure of 96 for 6 furlongs in 1:08.97.
Yes, that is right: 6 furlongs in 1:08.97.
Unreal!!!
Nysos was put into a Keeneland November breeding sale for $130,000 in 2021 as a 6-month old baby but no one wanted him at that price.
Then the breeder tried to get rid of him again one year later by putting him on the Fasig-Tipton October yearling 2022 for $150,000.
No one wanted him at that price either.
Then the following spring (2023) the breeder tried to get rid of him again by putting him on the OBS spring 2-year-old 2023 sale, presumably for a lot higher than $150,00 due to his maturity was beginning to show signs of a good racehorse.
This time he was bought for $550,000 by Baoma Corp and he was given to trainer Bob Baffert to train.
For whatever the reasons he was not put into a race until October 21, 2023, 9th race, MdSpWt61k, at Santa Anita.
Oh boy! It was worth the wait!
He dominated a good field.
Be forewarn: You'll be getting a 1/5 horse in that race at best.
Come to think of it I think he'll be 1/9 -- yes, that is right: 1/9.
Hey, a win is a win and it's like free money.
