Picks for Sunday April 28, 2024:

BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK THIS WEEK: APRIL 22-28.

Earlier this week I declared the week of April 22 - 28 as a holiday week for horse racing junkies like myself.

So if you are horse racing junkies like I am:

HAPPY BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK!

EARLIER THIS WEEK I PUT OUT A COUPLE OF BETTING STRATEGIES FOR THE UPCOMING DERBY.

BUT TODAY IS THE LAST DAY OF THE BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK.

SO HERE ARE TWO MORE BETTING STRATEGIES FOR THE FINAL DAY OF THE BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK:

1. Double Down WPS

Here is a very good betting strategy that is suited for longshots and as well as favorites also.

The strategy is called "Double Down WPS".

This strategy is for WP, PS, and WPS bets only.

Just like it says you double down the bets from top to bottom.

For example, if you are making a $10 bet to win on a horse you have to double down the bets by double the win amount to $20 for the place bet; and then double down the place bet again to $40 for the show bet.

The total bets: $70 ($10 + $20 + $40).

Of course, you can bet as little as $2 for the win bet and then double down your bets accordingly.

That is called "Double Down WPS" betting strategy.

Follow the above pattern accordingly for the WP and PS bets.

You should use this strategy regularly whenever you make WP, PS, and WPS bets.

It will give you a better chance of going home winning instead of losing.

This strategy works wonderfully well for longshots because picking longshots are not reliable and most of the time your longshots will get beat by "true" favorites, leaving your longshots "huge" payouts for the place and show.

Sure you will lose the win bets due to a "true" favorite just being a true favorite and wins the race.

Nonthing you can do about that circumstance.

But what you can do is giving yourself a chance that the favorite in the race might not be a "true" favorite and lose the race to your longshot.

Even if a "true" favorite wins and your longshot comes in second or third you still make money in the process.

That's the beauty about this betting strategy - you still make money when your longshots come in second or third.

That is not all: You can use this strategy on favorites as well.

2. Triple Down WPS

Here is a very good betting strategy that is suited for longshots and as well as favorites also.

The strategy is called "Triple Down WPS".

This strategy is for WP, PS, and WPS bets only.

Just like it says you triple down the bets from top to bottom.

Triple down betting strategy is similar to double down betting strategy described earlier except instead of doubling the amount of bets from top to bottom you triple the amount of bets from top to bottom.

For example, if you are making a $10 bet to win on a horse you have to triple down the bets by tripling the win amount to $30 for the place bet; and then you triple down the place bet again to $90 for the show bet.

The total bets: $130 ($10 + $30 + $90).

Of course, you can bet as little as $2 for the win bet and then triple down your bets accordingly.

That is called "Triple Down WPS" betting strategy.

That's the beauty about this betting strategy - you still make money when your longshots come in second or third.

That is not all: You can use this strategy on favorites as well.

Statistically, a high percentage of longshots come in second or third due to favorites being "true" favorites and get up at the wire and nosed out longshots for the win.

Yes, this scenario happens frequently and the statistics don't lie.

This strategy "Triple Down WPS" is suited for such scenario.

THESE TWO BETTING STRATEGIES ARE WELL SUITED TO DAYS LIKE THE DERBY DAY WHERE THERE ARE ABUNDANCE OF GOOD BETTING RACES ALL OVER THE COUNTRY.

YOU WILL FIND PLENTY OF GOOD BETTING RACES ON DERBY DAY, INCLUDING THE DERBY RACE ITSELF WHERE YOU CAN USE THESE TWO EXCELLENT BETTING STRATEGIES PLUS THE OTHER TWO BETTING STRATEGIES THAT I POSTED EARLIER DURING THE BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK POSTINGS.

PLEASE CHECK THEM OUT AND USE THEM ACCORDINGLY ON THIS UPCOMING DERBY DAY.

NOW YOU ALL SHOULD BE WELL-EQUIPED WITH ALL THE TOOLS YOU NEED TO HANDLE THE DERBY YOURSELVES ACCORDINGLY.

MEANWHILE, HERE IS A PICK FOR SUNDAY APRIL 28 (THE FINAL DAY OF THE BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK) USING ONE OF THE BETTING STRATEGIES GIVEN ABOVE:

1 1/8 Miles | Open | 3, 4 and 5 Year Olds | MAIDEN CLAIMING : $36,000 | PURSE: $41,000

Track: Laurel Park
Race: 5

Surface: Dirt

Horse: I'lltaketheblame (ML 9-5).

Field (in post position order):

1. Marty's Magic (ML 2-1)
2. Snack (ML 12-1)
3. Amani's Tiger (ML 4-1)
4. Stormy Seas (ML 15-1)
5. I'lltaketheblame (ML 9-5)
6. Costner (ML 3-1)

Bet I'lltaketheblame (ML 9-5) to win and place.

Yes, that is right: WIN/PLACE using double down betting strategy -- the strategy given on 'THE LAST DAY OF THE BETTING STRATEGY HOLIDAY WEEK!'

Put some considerable amount of money on I'lltaketheblame to win and place to make it worthwhile and justified going to the racetrack.

I'lltaketheblame's final odd will most likely be right around 6-5 (or even lower) as a heavy favorite in a very small field of six.

This is the easiest 9/5 money you'll ever going to get on the card at Laurel Park or at any other racetracks on this Sunday April 28, 2024.

Take this easy money 9/5 (or at whatever the price is -- 4/5 is my guess) and leave the racetrack as a winner.

Hey, a win is a win instead of chasing some longshots in hope of a big payoff as most horseplayers often do to no avail.

There you have it: Easy money!
