Yes, this qualifies as my "Longshot Play of the Week" -- if not for the month, year, or century -- because I rarely pick longshots.

It's not my type of plays to play longshots (but only occasionally).

To tell you the truth, I'm not much of an expert on Canterbury races due to the fact that Canterbury runs short programs (3 days a week) and short season (a few months out of the year -- not all year round like other tracks.)

For those reasons, I'll defer to the expert -- our very own Angela Hermann.

Now that's an expert horse racing personality that you want and should follow for her insightful analyses and picks.

She is by far my favorite horse racing personality.

I'm bias, of course, but if I'm not bias and I'm from a different state than hers, I probably would still be saying the same thing about her.

She is very talented, articulate, knowledgeable, smart, and above all, she is a wonderful person.

Now that's the profile and quality in a person that I admire.

She rose from nobody to where she is today is very remarkable.

She's a blue-collar type of individual with no silver plates/spoons handed to her.

That says something!
